Is there a way to turn off WYSIWYG in selected modules?

There are several modules where Tiny MCE becomes an inconvenience, causing the site to load very slow.

Try this.

Open the module's index.php and find:
Code:

if ( !defined("MODULE_FILE") )
{
    die("You can't access this file directly...");
}

On a new line after that, add:

Code:
define('NO_EDITOR', TRUE);

It works !!!! Thank you very much.

I remember seen in one version, ( I am not sure if it was 7.4 / 7.5 or 7.6) in Menu Administration-->Modules there was a column where you could enable or disable the WYSIWYG editor for each defined module.

Perhaps that is the WYSIWYG editor tweak that Evaders99 mentioned earlier
