Hi while reading the forums , i came across raven telling someone to look at their error logs in their CPannel to determine what the problem was.
So even though my site "SEEMS" to be running fine i thought i would take a look and see if i had any errors.
The following errors were repeated over and over again ,resulting in 300 in less than 24hrs

[Thu Sep 22 00:47:09 2005] [error] [client xxx.xx.xxx.xx] File does not exist: /home/ad78ht/public_html/modules/Forums/templates/phpBB2/images/spacer.gif
[Thu Sep 22 00:44:06 2005] [error] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xx] File does not exist: /home/ad78ht/public_html/404.shtml
[Thu Sep 22 00:44:06 2005] [error] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xx] File does not exist: /home/ad78ht/public_html/favicon.ico

I have replaced the ip with xxx.xxx.xxx.xx

does this do any harm having these errors?
what file would be most likely to be calling for the missing files ?

thanks

No not realy...

Lets go step by step..

File does not exist: /home/ad78ht/public_html/modules/Forums/templates/phpBB2/images/spacer.gif

This means that spacer.gif (whitch is a very tiny file ) is missing.
Solution is to put back the image at : Forums/templates/phpBB2/images/spacer.gif

Next one is more difficult...
File does not exist: /home/ad78ht/public_html/404.shtml

That means that the error document you had isnt there anymore.
So if it was standard from your server config or not,its not there anymore.
To solve that simply create 404.shtml page and put that in your root.
And im sure you know what 404 is ?
If not..it means page not found.... Smile

Last one is easier...
Something is looking for your favicon(same litle image of raven you see in the addressbar.. lol )

So put the favicon back in your root like it shows here....
File does not exist: /home/ad78ht/public_html/favicon.ico
