Hello,

when users login they will be forwarded to their forum profile and when they want to edit their profile they automaticly forwarded to edit their forum profile..thats working great.

i want to make it so, that when a user login the whole site is in the language that is stored in the database (user_lang)....is that possible ?

if so, could some1 point me in the good direction ?

i tried to change the "get_lang" function in mainfile.php but then only the language of the modules do change, but not the main page (
interface)

Hmmmm. I always thought that happened automatically. Can you describe how to produce a situation where it doesn't?

hi,

maybe i did'nt explain it good (sry for that)

when a user does login then they can edit their forum-profile. one of the things they can change is the language. so when a user change's the language to german instead of english and save's his profile.. the forum is in german language but the interface is still in english

Hi izone,

thanks

yup i saw that code addon allready and its working, BUT...

when user log-out (and cookie destroyed) and then login again, the forum language is in the language he has set in his profile, but the phpnuke-interface language is the default one again (english)

From a users point of view and a site with internatioal uses who discussed this in our forums..some things got translated others didnt...Im not sure what or why this was.
Anyway I decided to use a google site translator in my quick search forums/topics/google/translator block.
Draw nbacks
1/Althu it didnt provide all the languages, eg Sth African, google did have many opitions to use a language similar
2/slower load of page, so I sugested they use open new page in their browser
The feed back from from members was positive to this alternative, in http refers I see it is used frequently
I read a item earlier this morning about nuke 8 or something that refered to improved language translation.
