First of all, it's not java, so there is nothing to gain from messing with your java runtime. It's JavaScript and is a function of the browser.

Now, with that out of the way, please provide a link so I can take a look.

I just went to the link that Hitwalker supplied me, in IE6, and I dont see any error, at least on the home page. Could it be the particular theme you are/were using?

hi,

i tried different themes and with all themes i get that error. error only shows when clicking on any sentinal admin link...strange thing of it is that when i get my mouse over one of the little red help boxes the error dissapears, but when clicked on one of the sentinaladmin links the error returns

Open language/nukesentinel/lang-english.php and at or around line 242 you will see this code
Code:
define("_AB_HELP_078","You do not have the IP 2 Country table data installed.<br />This means your are missing the IANA Reserved Ranges that should be blocked.<br />Please use the <a href='".$admin_file.".php?op=ABImport'>Import Data</a> section to install the data.");

Just to test that this is the line that is causing the error, change it to
Code:
define("_AB_HELP_078","You do not have the IP 2 Country table data installed.");

Did that fix it?

This is the first chance I had to dig into this. As soon as you gave me access and I saw the error, I did a view page source and looked at line 125. When I saw mixed quotes I had a suspicion. Over many years of working with JavaScript, I know how persnickety it is when blending "" and ' in the status window. So, from there it was a simple matter of proving my suspicion.

Raven,

As you will recall, subsequent to me highlighting exactly the same issue earlier today, you forwarded details of this link/solution.

I too have now replaced the above code and everything is now working correctly, without any error being displayed!!! Wave

I do note that although you advised the code requring replacement was:

define("_AB_HELP_078","You do not have the IP 2 Country table data installed.<br />This means your are missing the IANA Reserved Ranges that should be blocked.<br />Please use the <a href='".$admin_file.".php?op=ABImport'>Import Data</a> section to install the data.");

The code I actually had in my file was slightly different:

define("_AB_HELP_078","You do not have the IP 2 Country table data installed. Please use the <a href='".$admin_file.".php?op=ABImport'>Import Data</a> section to install the data.");

I wonder if this had anything to do with it?

Nope. Are you using the latest NukeSentinel? The issue, regardless of the symantecs, is the mixing of quotes.

okay, I know why it caused the error. The single quote marks should have been escaped like so:
Code:
define("_AB_HELP_078","You do not have the IP 2 Country table data installed.<br />This means your are missing the IANA Reserved Ranges that should be blocked.<br />Please use the <a href=\'".$admin_file.".php?op=ABImport\'>Import Data</a> section to install the data.");

Hey Bob,

Thanks for the reply.

So should we stick with Ravens original solution, or use your code instead?
