Hi guys....big apology if this has been covered before...I couldnt find it here.....I want to remove the sign up option in the login block so that no one can sign in UNLESS they are registered, and of course I will set up all accounts, how can I do this please?.

I want to be the only one that can create accounts, the login block will be on my main page and viewable by anyone, but they can only sign in.... not register, I have had a look at my_account index.php and guess thats what i have to edit? just not sure what or where...... but ultimately I dont want users to access unless they have an account that I have created.

TIA

I would take this approach. In Your_Account/index.php, locate the new_user() function. The first few lines should look something like this
Code:
function new_user() {

    global $my_headlines, $module_name, $db, $gfx_chk;
    if (!is_user($user)) {
   mt_srand ((double)microtime()*1000000);
Modify it to read this
Code:
function new_user() {

    global $my_headlines, $module_name, $db, $gfx_chk;
    if (!is_user($user)) {
         $pagetitle = "- "._ACCESSDENIED."";
         include("header.php");
         title("$sitename: "._ACCESSDENIED."");
         OpenTable();
         echo "<center><b>"._RESTRICTEDAREA."</b><br><br>"
            .""._MODULEUSERS.""
            .""._GOBACK."";
         CloseTable();
         include("footer.php");
         die();

   mt_srand ((double)microtime()*1000000);

I will leave the editing of any links that reference New User registration to you Smile.

Thanks, I have had a go and ended up just deleting any reference to "register new user", seems to work out how i want, I left in 2 references (under case I think) so as I could create new user myself as admin.
