Nuke Sentinel 2.1.2

The three features called Database Structure, Database Optimize and Database Repair do not work at all if you have certain characters in your database name.

It's either the underscore _ or it's the hypen -.

I didn't bother to test which character because I have both in my database name.

In the Ensim control panel your database name is choosen automatically based on your domain name, plus the suffix you choose. (ie. nuke)

So you'll end up with quite a database name in some instances.

your-domain_org_-_nuke

That database name will not work using the standard queries built into nuke sentinel.

Using what Raven tought me a couple months ago while working with a different script I was able to fix Sentinel as well.

Here's what I did with ABDBOptimize.php

Line 47 is:

Code:
$result = $db->sql_query("SHOW TABLE STATUS FROM ".$dbname);

This query fails because of the special characters.

I changed it to this:

Code:
$result = $db->sql_query('SHOW TABLE STATUS FROM `'.$dbname.'`');

Now the option to optimize a database with speical characters in it will work instead of failing.

Structure, and Repair also do not work currently. I have not made the edits to these files yet, but I'm sure they will work after the database name is enclosed in back ticks.

Darrell

Yes, that is a coding error. The db name should ALWAYS be in back tick marks. Good catch.

In NukeSentinel 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 there is also a problem with this line:
Code:
$result = $db->sql_query("SHOW TABLE STATUS FROM ".$dbname." LIKE '%_nsnst_%'");

That shows only the database tables from NukeSentinel.

Why is that a problem? That's intended to be that way Smile
