Hey I really hope that someone can help.
I installed phpnuke.
Everything worked fine until people started posting in the forums.
The smilies do not work, the links, quotes extra do not work.
The code comes up but it doesn't work.
Also random html appears in the post.
Eg, [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]
When you click on edit and the new window opens the code is no longer their.
However when you post the edited info the code once again appears.

Any help would be much appriciated.

What version of PHP-Nuke did you install?

I think it was 7.7. The download however was called phpnuke 8.7

I suggest you downgrade to 7.6, a script to do so is available at [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]
