Now i know there are a lot of syndication modules out there and I use several of them myself. But each of the modules I have seen have limitations that sometimes deter potential users.

Anyway, I found a real nifty php module that converts rss feed to javascript so that newsfeeds can be read from standard html sites. This has been a useful tool building up networks of peeps who use a nuke community and have their own personal html sites. If you who want your users to display your news feeds on non nuke installations this tool would be nice to have located on your main site.

I am looking for help in porting this as a nuke module. You can see what it looks like standalone here: http://alaskandog.com/feed2js/build.php as a builder and also has a styling addon here: http://alaskandog.com/feed2js/style.php.

I only got as far as creating an initial index and totally got lost in the functions of php: http://alaskandog.com/designs/modules.php?name=feed2js

You can download the module from here: http://jade.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/feed/feed2js.zip

Any help would be appreciated and I think once it is made available will be widely used in our community.

Well I figured out how to make it work in an I frame. Tell me what you think so far. I'm still working on the style sheet. Havnt figure out why the links are the colors they are as I dont see those colors anywhere in the mods style sheets. Wondering if I can make this mod take on the style sheet of the theme automatically. Heres the addy: http://alaskandog.com/designs/modules.php?name=feed2js. Really would appreciate some feedback!

That's sweet!
Are the links etc the colors you have formatted in the page you I-framed in? I had this problem with one thing I did and just removed all formatting from the page I I-framed...don't know if that will help, but it is my novice attempt....

I edited each page of the module so that it linked to my themes stylesheet. However the links didn't stand out with this theme unless you happened to mouseover them so I hard coded each link to appear red so that the user could see them.
