I was just wondering something. When I ban an IP, does that person get bumped immediately from the site, or when they try to re-connect?

Because I have banned a few questionable IP's and they don't seem to leave. However, once I have banned them, I never see them return.

Is there a way to remove someone immediately from your site?

Yes. After you ban them, use phpMyAdmin and delete them from the nuke_sessions table. Also, if you are writing to .htaccess, they may still show until you delete them but they can't get in because they are stopped at the server level.
