Sentinel is working ok and banning but it's not showing banned ip's in the sentinel block.

There are 3 in there at the moment, and 3 in blocked IP's in Sentinel blocked ip's section of Sentinel Admin, but since updating to 2.0.1 any new blocked ip's dont show up in either.

I know Sentinel' working properly, as i tried to add some script to the footer in preferences and got banned myself lol

But my IP address didnt show in sentinel so I couldnt unban my IP. Luckily I use AOHell so got a different IP when I dialled up to get on the site.

Another thing, I was logged in as a SuperUser so I shouldn't have been banned should I? As my SuperUser name is in the list of protected Admins.

Is this working correctly now or do you still need assistance?

It's working now Raven thankyou

I think I was just lucky in that no-one had bothered to try and hack the site for a couple of weeks

It caught someone yesterday and their IP was put in the block.

I just upgraded from 2.02 to 2.10 Sentinel and everything for the most part appears to be working, except manually blocking IP's.

When I add an IP to block then display blocked IP's it says nothing is listed. It Does appear to be adding the blocked IP to .htaccess however. Nothing shows up in the "Sentinel" block either.

Running nuke 7.4 and chatserve's 2.6 security patches

Any suggestions on what to look for or how to get it working properly would be appreciated. Thanks,

Have you told it to in the NukeSentinel Administration settings?

If it's under this setting "General Settings" Display Link:All Visitors Display Reason: All Visitors then yes?

Have you checked the table in phpMyAdmin to see if the IP's are being written to the table?

I just had the same thing happen. I received the e-mail telling me it was an 'authors' block. It did not appear on the scrolling block, banned IP in Sentinel, in the htaccess file, or in the db.

Do you have this installed on more than 1 site? If so, be sure that the url is from the site you're checking.

Yes I do. I was careful to look at the correct htaccess file and the correct db file. On another hand, should I be using just one htaccess file at the public_html level?

That would probably be a good idea. That way, all of your sites get to take advantage of attacks on the other.

Yes, I will do that, and keep an eye on the e-mail plus the entry in DB.
