Index and mainfile problems

PLease help me i dont know what to do these 2 files r pissing me off...
Parse error: parse error in host/html/mainfile.php on line 470

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in host/html/index.php on line 22
Ive uploaded so many files = to these and overwrite and keep getting the same stupid error each time worst...

Line 470 appears to be missing a ; at the end.

The other one appears to not know what $db is. Are you sure that it's communicating with MySQL?

yeah but it seems to be fixed now, i think it was my ftp program that made alot of files corrupt. ty anyway.
