Hi There,

I recently installed Sentinel on two of my websites that are running Nuke 7.4, patched with Chatserv's 2.5 patch. It is running fine on one site, but does not allow me to click on Protected Admins List, Admin HTTPAuth List, or Scan for New Admins, they do not appear as links, but the hekp image does appear as a link, but it never opens anything when clicked on.

Win 2000 Professional
Apache 1.3.29
PHP 4.3.4
Sentinel 2.0.0

I could not click on these links for RC4, 5, & 6. I just assumed that it would be fixed in the released version.

You can only click on the Protected Admins List, etc when you are logged in as God Admin.

Have you turned on http auth in the main config section of Sentinel?

Ahhhh....the user I was logged in as was an admin but not a GOD admin.!!! Thanks for the hint!

Chat: When I turn on Http Auth, it never logs me in....I set a password in the httpAuth section in Sentinel, but it just keeps popping up the login box.

Thanks,

ConViCt

I am having the same problem. These show up, Protected Admins List, Admin HTTPAuth List, or Scan for New Admins, but not as links. I am logged in as the GOD admin. I am the only admin on my site, and its the one in the authors table.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm. The only thing programatically that prevents those from being a link is if the admin name is not listed as a god admin. Can you use phpMyAdmin and confirm that your admin name is a god admin?

Look in the authors db table for your admin nick, check if name is listed as God, if it isn't the links will not appear, another reason for them not showing is php running as cgi

How would I know if my account in the authors db table is listed as God? What should I look for.

In phpmyadmin, click on the nuke_authors table on the left side. In the right side, scroll down and click on the 'Go' button. This will then list your authors. The first column will be 'aid' and the second will be 'name'. Your admin nick should be in the first column, and the second column should show 'God'

Well, I'm in real trouble then. I waited for the last release. Evidently I missed something, because, I have nothing in my admin view.

If your php is running as cgi, does that mean we can't use http authorization?

That is correct.
