Okay since my site currently has no content, its starting to confuse me.. the way things will be dispalyed and set up.

I was using the "Topics Admin" to add in different news article topics i am going to have. However when i went into add stories, aside from the Topics, it also dsipalyed category.

Now i have an idea of what each does, except i'm not sure if i'm organizing it the correct way.

Here is a rough draft of how i want to organize my article topics:

Articles
- Events
- Parties
- Dances

- Sports
- Highschool
- College
- Professional

---
The above is just to get an idea of what i'm trying to do. What would be the best way to organize my articles...

1. Just create topics
2. Just create Categories
3. Create topics and categories, and use them together...

Any advice and insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Well of course it depends on what works best for you. Smile

The only real diffrence between Topics and Categories (to my limited knowlage) is the you can set graphics with on topics, you can't on Categories, but you can set up a Categorie to not show up on the home page. so you can add stories and not knock others off the home page.

Thats abut the only real diffrences I can tell.

It's your board and I would play around with it but a combo of both seems like it would work well for you (IMHO)
