The sentinel.php script in admin/modules causes an internal server error (The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request......) .

The following line in the function blocker_config($blocker_row) causes this problem:

Code:
$mailtest = @mail();

Any ideas/workarounds ?
For the time being I did comment out this line.

I believe that may be a configuration issue on your end. Try setting the email lookup setting to OFF and see if the problem continues. Is PHP compiled as an Apache module or CGI?

Disable "Email IP Lookup" and try it. Sounds like your site is on a PHP-CGI system instead of PHP as an Apache module. I ran into that issue when my host had recompiled php and mistakenly compiled it as PHP-CGI.

Oh, forgot to also say comment that line out. If your server is complaining about it not being valid then "Email IP Lookups" won't work either.

The 'E-mail IP lookup' is working. Today I got several attacks, and the E-mails contained also the IP lookup info.

As test, I ran this script:

Code:

<?php
$mailtest = @mail();
?>

This already results in an Internal Server Error. So, setting the email lookup setting to OFF has no influence on it.

I will ask my host provider, what can be the cause.
