I'm writing a new WCMS (yes again Razz) and it's HTML5/XML based.

While thinking about a menu that would be different then any other it seems HTML5 + CSS3 is very cool.
Look at my example: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

If you know more cool CSS3 menu's then show off!

Agree 100%. I just wish M$ would hurry up with IE9 so all major browsers would have support for some HTML5 and CSS3.

Interesting. What would stop you (or a theme developer) from using HTML5 and CSS3 with DragonFly as it is today?

Zero to nothing, if you want you can!
But dragonfly doesn't use html elements internally at the moment and it still takes a lot of effort to convert all php-nuke html into template files for full html5 support.

But, that is a complete separate story. My WCMS is not community software and actually embeds nothing. It is based on the WebDav principles.

You might can use HTML5 in RavenNuke as well Wink

I already tried using HTML5 with RN, unfortunately it isn't as simple as it might first appear.
Changing to the appropriate DOCTYPE is simple enough but for validation purposes, there is way too much stuff to change internally, like losing the js 'type'. Also, our CSRF class falls over as well resulting in all form submissions failing. There are also a few instances of image border attributes still lurking and these have to be moved to CSS.
Admittadly, most of the validation issues are theme related or 'header' related so it is actually no big deal, just a bit of effort required.
