Some of the topic titles are very hard to follow, so please forgive me if I am asking a question that was previously answered...

I am working with a brand new database and a fresh download of RN 2.4. I followed all of the instructions for setting up the software, but when I try to post in any of my forums, I get the following error:

Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form.

I can preview the post, but it will not submit.

Go to the Forum Administration, then Configuration. Find the "Cookie settings" section. Then "Cookie domain".

We had a slight bug in the last version that didn't fill this in correctly. It probably has something like [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] as the current value. The proper value is either ".yoursite.com" or "subdomain.yoursite.com" (if you are in a sub-domain). Obviously exchange your actual domain etc.

If you do not follow the above feel free to post back.

If those don't work you could also try a blank value.

That block filled in automatically during install and configuration. The value looked correct except for the period before the [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] I tried removing that and it still didn't work. The blank value seems to have fixed it, though.

Thank you, guys!

A blank value is fine, but what I meant was to remove the "http://"

Will it create problems for me later if I leave that field blank?
