I have my Price plans all setup in my live site which is still RN2.3. But when I transferred the DB files to my test site running RN2.4. My buying links are doubling up.

I've also noticed that the form field is smaller then the one in 2.3 that is in 2.4 for the buying links.

From the view source of the links, it looks as if the paypal button code under Buy Links has some errors in it. Double check it and make sure it was copied and pasted correctly.

example
Code:
webscr="" method="post">"&gt;</a><form action="htt

Nuken,

I would say you might be right if it wasn't that the same code is working fine on the 2.3 site. It seems to be the new format of what ever changes where done in the Advertising module for the 2.4

Is this a duplicate post?
I'm sure you asked about adding buy now buttons in the RN 2.4 Advertising module and the answer is pretty much the same.

No, I think you are thinking of the post about having issue putting Java script Ads in the FCKeditor.

But, I did try and add this code in the PHPmyadmin like you suggested in that thread for the javascript and it still doubles up on the site.

The Buying links dosnt use the FCKeditor. Its just a text field and its smaller in 2.4 then it was in 2.3

OK I'm getting confused now we are discussing pretty much the same thing in two different topics now but lets address it here for the sake of my sanity.

Have you made the changes to the code that were given in the 'other' topic?
If yes, then is the broken paypal link code evident when you create a NEW buy now button or is it only old ones that are broken?

Should be no confusen here. The other topic had to do with the FCKeditor which I have made the changes that was given.

This topic has to do with the text field that you put the buy links in.

Here is how it is in RN2.3 and my links work fine:
Image

Here is how it is in RN2.4 and my links don't work:

Image

These changes have made it to where I can't use the links that I have working on my 2.3 ver.

I hope this helps the understanding of the issues I'm having now. The other issue in the other post has been fixed and working for the ads themselves.

Let me change that... It is pulling some of the tags out... I will test it some more and figure it out.

Should I remove the edits you provided?

I would. If someone clicks on here and is looking for a fix, that would lead them in the wrong direction. Everything I have tried has not worked.

The only thing I had him try was to turn the text field into wysiwyg text area which did nothing to solve the issue he had. Here is what he is trying to use.

Code:
<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">

<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">
<input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="*******">
<table>
<tr><td><input type="hidden" name="on0" value="Ad Type:">Ad Type:</td></tr><tr><td><select name="os0">
   <option value="Image">Image
   <option value="Flash">Flash
   <option value="Text">Text
</select> </td></tr>
</table>
<input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynow_SM.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!">
<img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1">
</form>
<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">
<input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="*******">
<table>
<tr><td><input type="hidden" name="on0" value="Ad Type:">Ad Type:</td></tr><tr><td><select name="os0">
   <option value="Image">Image
   <option value="Flash">Flash
   <option value="Text">Text
</select> </td></tr>
</table>
<input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_subscribe_SM.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!">
<img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1">

Ok don't worry about posting the code again.

First off please review what I posted in the other topic. [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

Then find the two instances of the following in module admin index.php:
Code:

$buy_links = mysql_real_escape_string(check_html($buy_links, ''));

Change to:
Code:

$buy_links = mysql_real_escape_string(check_html($buy_links, 'nocheck'));

Line 1251:
Code:

echo '<input type="text" name="buy_links" size="100" maxlength="120" />';

Change to:
Code:

echo '<textarea  name="buy_links" cols="70" rows="12" /></textarea>';

Line 1336:
Code:
echo '<input ttype="text" name="buy_links" value = "'.$buy_links.'" /></td></tr>';

Change to:
Code:

echo '<textarea name="buy_links" cols="70" rows="12" />' . $buy_links . '</textarea></td></tr>';

Next find line 449 in the module index.php:
Code:

echo '<tr><td valign="top"><b>' . $row['name'] . '</b></td><td valign="top">' . $row['description'] . '</td><td valign="top"><center>' . $row['delivery'] . '<br />' . $delivery . '</center></td><td valign="top">' . $row['price'] . '</td><td valign="top" nowrap="nowrap"><center><a href="' . $row['buy_links'] . '">'. $row['buy_links']. '</a></center></td></tr>';

Repalce with:
Code:

echo '<tr><td valign="top"><b>' . $row['name'] . '</b></td><td valign="top">' . $row['description'] . '</td><td valign="top"><center>' . $row['delivery'] . '<br />' . $delivery . '</center></td><td valign="top">' . $row['price'] . '</td><td valign="top" nowrap="nowrap"><center>' . $row['buy_links']. '</center></td></tr>';
