I don't know dude. The updated admin is working fine for me. Did you delete the install files from the modules/mreviews?

I deleted install.php like it asked.

Do I delete install.sql as well?

None of that would explain why the admin page just goes blank..

Why would that happen?

I presume you have tried to contact the original author?
You could also try the 'for hire' forum if you are willing to pay someone else to fix it for you.

Nearly all the original authors websites are down. I have spent the entire day searching for information.

And on your second point, just in case you hadn't read my previous post, I've already posted in the hire forum

Send me a pm with your ftp login info and an admin login and I will install mreviews and reviews plus for you. I think you will like reviews plus better since it has the wysiwyg editor. But you can decide that.

Are you online at the moment nuken?

Please read my PM - I have looked at reviews plus but it isn't what I need.

I need subsections in the reviews so they can be sorted by genre, only mreviews has this.

I've successfully installed MReviews and got it (almost) working. My only problem is I can't add reviews. I can go into the database and add them, but if I use the form to add them and hit submit it fails to add the new review to the database. Any ideas what I'm missing here? Here's my MReviews module:

There is probably an old $dbi that needs to be changed to $db.

I thought I got them all (I did a search and replace). Would they be in more than one file perhaps?

I had to fix so many things in it, then all of a sudden SOME of it worked

Terribly defunct code

Well, I have everything working except the fact that it won't write to the database when I put in a new review. If I can fix that, I can make this go live... I think Smile

rogue3, are you using RavenNuke(tm)? If so, turn on db logging within the rnconfig.php file and see if any errors are written the the rnlogs/dblog file. (Make sure this file is write-able by the web server - usually means 666).

Montego i kind of helped him, but to be honest if anyone has thoughts of trying to use this I have one word for you. Don't!

Sorry but to me this looks very poorly written. Not that you can't use it I just don't like it.
