Hi

I have been trying since this weekend to get on the nukeSEO website but have not been able to access it.

Is it offline now? The only thing I can pull up is a Google cache of the page.

I just launched a new install of ravennuke and wanted to optimize the site for SEO.

Do you know of an alternate location?

Thanks in advance

Kyle

No other reports of problems. Can you ping it?

Do you guys also sell rootbeer?

When I go to the site by address I get RootBeerWorld.com Very Happy

I just noticed that at work I can indeed pull up the site . .

Must be a qwest DNS thing?

Sincerely,

Kyle

Yes, sounds like a DNS problem between your ISP and my hosted server.

root-beer.org (aka RootBeerWorld.com) was my first website - initially running ASP, but later Nuked (for the most part, though there are still some static pages). We don't sell root beer, just provide information about it..

Also, just for good measure, run the following command from a command prompt (Start > Run > cmd):

ipconfig /flushdns

Yup . ... with a wife and 2 daughters I never forget to flush . . .

Shocked

Same thing after the flushdns. . .

Can you tell me what the IP is?

Perhaps I can set a hosts file on my home computer . ..

Sincerely,

Kyle

Hi raven

I did that and I get the IP shown in my screen shots above (home computer):

69.16.207.58

If I bypass DNS and put that IP directly into my browser at home I get the rootbeerworld page.

Tried adding the following to my local host file:

69.16.207.58 nukeseo.com

Nothing comes up in the browser and when I go directly to the IP in the browser its the rootbeer site . . .

Note - I have 6 computers at home and its the same on all of them. . .

I was wondering if there was a different IP?

At work I can pull up nukeseo.com no problem - however - when at work if I also go directly to the IP 69.16.207.58 I go to rootbeerworld

Guess I will just get the files here at work. . . . Rolling Eyes

That is the IP for root beer also. I'd imagine that KGuske is running Virtual Hosts through Apache so there are many to one mappings based ob the URI. Just for grins and giggles, try [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

This is, imo, an issue with your cached name servers, either through your router and/or your host. I can't attribute it to anything else at this point.

nslookup [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

If you don't get an answer, your DNS server may not be updated correctly

Not that I want to beat a dead horse . . . Laughing

I am accessing the site from work now . .. so there is no emergency here.

Interesting though - at home I tried to go to nukeseo using the new google chrome browser - it gives me this error when loadingup the nukeseo site:

"This webpage has a redirect loop.

The webpage at [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer."

(Did try clearing the cookies and that did not work)

Did you try Evader99's nslookup suggestion?

Hi Raven

I did not since I just started using terminal services to access a system at work to go to nukeseo.com

Just ran it:

Name: nukeseo.com
Address: 69.16.207.58
Aliases: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

No worries - I can get to the site via the system at work . ..

Just thought that error from chrome was interesting. Even when using IE it takes several minutes before the attempt to load nukeseo times out . . .

You should be able to access [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] without redirecting.

Hi

Flushed my local dns cache - set a static IP on my home PC - and set my dns to those of OpenDNS
[ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

Deleted all cache, temp files, cookies ,etc

Added to trusted sites

Same thing with the alternate dns:

IE just goes to lunch trying to open the page - eventually after 5 mins or so times out

This from firefox:

Redirect Loop

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.

* Have you disabled or blocked cookies required by this site?
* NOTE: If accepting the site's cookies does not resolve the problem, it is likely a server configuration issue and not your computer.

No nuke SEO for you . . .

Oh well - will get to if at work.
