I have the same account information as user and as administrator. I have to enter my account information 3 times to reach my administration menu.

First I have to log in as user.
Then I must add "/admin.php" behind my URL.
Then a pop up window comes up and asks me for the administrator's account information (I don't mind this pop up window).
Then it re-directs me to another admistration log in on the site where I have to enter my information again plus a security code (This is what annoys me).

What I want is...

1. When I log in on the site I want to be adminstrator already.
2. I want the "Admin Menu" button in my navigation bar as soon as I am logged in (Because when I log in now I don't have it there. I have to visit "/admin.php" first).

The behavior you are describing is by design, right or wrong. Of course you could simplify it and remove the auth protection you have on your admin.php file, but that would be not be a good idea for security reasons.

To get what you want would require a massive reworking of the Nuke code base. Don't think we aren't thinking about that though. Smile

Check config.php and set the gfx chk to 4 if you donĀ“t have this already.
Without additional admin protection like http auth or cgi auth you will get hacked within a short time.

d***. Ok. Let's put the triple log in by side. I'll live with it due to security reasons.

Regarding the button.
Currently I have the normal RavenNuke style like this forum here. It's annoying adding "/admin.php". Would it really that much effort to add the admin button? The button thing at least wouldn't be that much of a security reason if the admin button in the navigation bar is only visible for administrators. It could be linked to [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] Then the pop up window appears and then it re-directs me to the admin log in on the site. That would be cool. I just want the button due to comfortabilty (?).

I'm not sure you understand the difference between "normal" user logins and the "admin" login. They are completely separate.

You can't hide the admin.php link because there is a chicken and egg problem. If you are logged out of admin, you couldn't see the link.

Just bookmark your admin.php page with your browser.

NukeScripts uses a Site Administrators block that has the admin login. [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

I tried them but I couldn't get the block to show up in the block list.

Once you have uploaded the file to the server you need to add it as a new block, is it showing up under the filename select box?
