According to the pop-up help button next to the setting
Quote:
If activated, causes NukeSentinel(tm) to ignore reserved ip ranges. Perfect for local testing ONLY!

"Test Mode" is for local testing so that it does not block access based on "IANA Reserved" status. In other words when you are testing on a local server it won't block you accessing the test from another computer on your local network Smile

The test switch seems to be broken in 2.6.01. It does not save when changing it. Any time the sentinel preferences are saved, it seems to blank out the test switch field. Doesn't matter if you've selected yes or no. Setting it manually in the DB works, but changing any other preference causes it to be lost and set back to blank.

Just an FYI it puts a big TEST MODE at the top of your site. Just incase anyone didn't know that Smile

Well I know it works when using the regular nuke sentinel download because when you first install it test mode is on by default.

It does appear in RN 2.3 that the test switch does not work.

Not sure, but you may also need to test with different settings of the overrides in rnconfig.php.

What overrides are you talking about? The bypass?

I would assume that is a bug also?

I just wasn't sure if it was supposed to be removed because of the new test mode. But like I said before that puts test mode at the top of the site.

Guardian2003, can you add an issue for the bypass issue?
