"You don't have permission to access / on this server&q

I have ONE user that gets the error "You don't have permission to access / on this server" only when replying to a post. Nobody else is reporting this error. I told the user to clear cache and cookies but haven't heard back yet.

Any insight here would be appreciated. There is no problem with my Apache httpd.conf file, etc. especially if only the one user is reporting this.

Usually its a mod_security issue probably

Thanks but that would affect all users, not just one afaik. Anyway, the problem was located and solved. This particular user's IP was buried in one of the banned ranges and once removed, he gets in OK.

dad7732, actually, mod_security would not necessarily affect everybody. It is used to inspect ALL aspects of HTTP traffic including form POST data. This means that even what someone enters into a forum, for example, if there is a mod_security rule that does not like what was entered...

I know that you already found your answer, but wanted to "educate". Wink
