After completing the install I tried to change my theme to a phpnuke theme I have. After I changed the theme all the pages went blank including the admin panel. Any ideas on how to fix this?

PHPMyAdmin and change the Default_Theme in nuke_config to match a working one.

Yes you need to upload it to the correct place.
If the theme caused a crash then it is most likely that the theme could not be found.
Look at the structure within the webroot/themes directory to see if it matches your theme, I would guess that you uploaded the wrong directory into the 'themes' directory on the server.

No problem at all Smile
OK, I presume you downloaded the theme from somewhere and it came zipped or compressed.
When you have unzipped it, go to that folder on your PC. Each time you double-click on a folder it 'drills down' into the structure.
Keep drilling down until you can see a file called theme.php
GO BACK on folder
The folder you now have (with the theme.php file inside) is the one you need.
That folder should be uploaded INSIDE your 'themes' folder on your web server.

Note: the use of the words 'folder' and 'directory' are interchangable
