Quick question.
I was looking at my web statistics and its says i recived 3893 Code 404 errors.

How can i look at my logs, and find what links are being used to create these types of errors.

For example, if someone is clicking a link somewhere like Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! i want to see where they came from, and what link, so i can fix it.

Some web hosting statistics packages, such as the one that's in CPanel (but also if I recall correctly even the VDECK one) contain a section on where you are linked to from. Give that a try. You can't really fix an improper link that someone else has, you might be able to redirect it in htaccess.

awstats displays all 404 errors and the hits for such links.
Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!

Thats helpful and beneed that I use a own 404 page with email function.

So everytime there is a 404 page error, you get it emailed to you?

How do you do that?

Yes, thats the way this works.
You will find many different examples and its very easy to create such a 404 page and to change the .htaccess slightly.

Thats only one example. I don´t used that but check it out:
