Am I wrong to think news comments are only handled in the

nuke_stories
nuke_comments

tables?

For some odd reason my comments don't show in my articles, but the data is in the table and the counter appears to be working fine.

Anyone got any idea's of what might be the problem?

If I post a comment it records in the database fine, but when I view the article there are no comments. Again the counter shows that there is a comment.

Errors are set to true, but nothing is popping up. My news module is heavily modded, but I replaced with the rvnuke 2.10 files and no change.

As I recall, there are a couple of gotchas here. First of all, you can turn off comments globally in your admin panel preferences. Check that. If that is off, news stories will not show comments, even if they already have them in the database. Secondly, when you approve a news story, the admin can activate/deactivate comments for that individual story. If that flag somehow got set for a story, it would do the same thing.

We fixed a few bugs on this issue, but it should work with RN2.10.01 now.

Well recently evaders ported attach mod for me. For the strangest reason it reset everyone's comment settings in your account due to a change in sessions.php. <--I hope it was this that changed it.

So after some play and a little script. I changed everyone back over to thread display and notified them if they wanna change it.

Anyway solved.

Futher more I added an alert if no comments is set. Simply because I had removed the configure button which is ugly to me.

If it's any consolation the code related to this gave us fits in rn2.10. I bet there were at least a half dozen iterations before the final release and still Gremmie was fixing bugs with it after the "base" release. It's something that really needs to be looked at from scratch ... if only there was time.

Well I totally modded out the comments.php and stripped nearly half of it for more of a blogger look.
