How do you know google is not visiting - have you checked your server stats logs?
The only reason for google not finding your site is if you have put the new site into a different directory.

If google has indexed your old site and is still linking to those pages it may help to place redirects in htaccess from your old pages to your new ones.

There are some add on modules which might help also such as GT Next Generation and nukeSEO.

I presume you have changed the meta tags in includes/meta.php to suite your site?

Do you have both sites up and running? If so, does that mean you placed the new site under a subdomain or subdirectory? If so, two things: 1) do you have a link off your already indexed site to the new one? (even if you do, it could take 1 - 2 weeks for google getting around to finding it and crawling/incorporating it), and 2) if it is a subdomain, did you submit that URL to google?

Bottom line is, if Google can't find it, it ain't going to get crawled...

one thing to remember is that if you have old html pages that are linked to, you should put a redirect command in your htaccess file

read this for info
[ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

If you do not do this, google will consider your old pages to be broken, and if anyone clicks on the old urls they will get a 404 error.

you could for example redirect a couple of pages using:
Redirect 301 /index.html [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]
Redirect 301 /oldpage2.html [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

read that url above to see where to put these commands.
