I am curious if anyone here had a link and a recommendation to a mod that would track the users ip address from where the log in occurs.

For instance bob logs in one day from work and one day from home - I would like a list of all of bobs ips.

Right now through the phpbb feature I can tell where they have posted from but not where they logged in from.

I do have the user info box and I can click on the number and it will pull up their ip but I would like that info logged somehow.

Thanks for any input!

Sentinel's IP Tracking function does this.

Sentinel has a slew of tools if I remember correctly and I remember attempting to install this and having issues.

Is there anything else that only adds this feature?

None that I am aware of. Sorry.

I do however urge you to try again with the Sentinel install. Your site is extremely vulnerable without it.

I'll attempt to look at it again - I've got a test site but I have a big fear of crashing and loosing everything.

Just be sure to take it slow and back up all files you edit and of course your database. You will be fine. Smile

Yeah Sentinel is a MUST. Best security you can have. I have patched 7.6 level 3.1 and I dont even think my patches have been tested as sentinel bans them immediately but you need to do all patches as well. There was this self proclaimed phpnuke "hacker on nuke cops, even has a site called [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] He tells people sentinel and patches wont protect your site and everyone should get his mega-nuke 7.4 so me being the show me person I told him to go for my site, sooo 4 sentinel emails he gives up but is too arrogant and claims its not him..lol Anyway I love my sentinel, get it, install it and use it. Its a script kiddies worst nightmare :>
