On the security code issue, check this first [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

I thought I had a brief tutorial on changing the length. Let me see if I can dig it up.

well if you get CNB Your Account you can adjust the length of the security code from 1- 10.

Having just gone thru diagnosing a problem on my site, here's a couple of things you can do:

When you have the config.php set to 7 so the code "should" display, right click on the security code. Then select the view image option. If the program was working right you'd see the security image but you probably won't. Look at the view source for it. In one case I had some diagnostic statements in mainfile and nukesentinel.php to try to figure out another problem (just little tables telling me for instance "got into Nuke Sentinel") and I had left them in after the problem was solved and they were being displayed at the top of the screen and stopping the security code from displaying. In the view source you should see something like
Quote:
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 75
with some graphic characters before and after the image. You could try this with a Nuke site where the security code is working on the login screen and then compare it to what you see on your site.

Also, as others suggested, analyze.php will tell you whether the gd library is working and whether it can find your graphic image.
