Please Help With IP BAN SYSTEM

Please can someone help...I have been using the IP BAN SYSTEM in the admistration panel...One of my members has been banned by mistake so i used the UNBAN function and thier IP disappeared from the list...however they still cannot log on from thier computer...I can however loginto thier account from my PC...i have deleted thier old accounts and got them to make a new one but still no joy...i have checked the database ban log and there is no referance to their IP...is there anything else i need to check...PLEASE>>PLEASE can someone help... Sad

well for some reason the ip seems to be logged somehow...
in the htaccess file?

well how weird it may sound but we just run out of options...
but personaly i have a feeling your looking for the wrong ip.
tell that friend to go to [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]
then ask him what his ip is..
then check everything again...
