Little bugger's still getting in

This is kinda funny ... in a sick way. I have this hacker that has found a way into the site and he changes the front page to advertise him/herself. They do it about once a month. I thought I had it fixed with the new sentinel upgrade since nothing happened in Nov. But low and behold today he/she did it again.

I've never been about to get the HTTP auth to work when I install on a site. My Halloween page works cuz raven installed it. But it's not working on any of the other. So what's the trick to getting that to work? When I change the .htaccess to include the code as instructed it blocks me out even though I'm inputing the correct user/pass.

Every time this bugger is getting in I go though and change all the passwords .. admin .. cpanel ... ftp ... but they seem to alway upload or rewrite the index.php which seems to tell me they have server access beyond just hacking nuke ... am I right?

I just can figure out where they are getting in. I'd be more pissed, but it's only a 3 sec fix each time they do it.
