When I try to enter the settings in the Sentinel Configuration screen, a 500 Internal Server Error-screen shows up.
I'm using Sentinel 2.02 on a PHPNuke 7.3 powered site, hosted by Lycos Europe.
I've chmodded the .htaccess file to 666, including the empty lines in it.
What's wrong? Crying or Very sad

This would indicate that your host may not allow .htaccess files. Try deleting your .htaccess file and in NukeSentinel Admin panel delete the reference to .htaccess.

Sorry to bring up an oldie, but...

So does this basically mean that if the host doesn't allow .htaccess files, we are unable to use CGI/HTTP Auth?

That sucks.

I have responded to this several times in other posts. For brevity, you do not need .htaccess nor .staccess for HTTP Auth. It is required for CGI Auth.
