Site Messenger Problem

Whenever I send a message in site messenger, it wont let me use like parentheses or quotes or anything like that. It keeps saying "The html tags you attempted to use are not allowed". Is there a way to change this?

You could but then I could send stuff like <IMG SRC="javascript:alert(' huge ')"> to you.

You might try setting html=0 in the site messenger config then I think it would get converted to something that will pass the filters.

Sorry im a bit of a newbie, but what exactly is the Site messenger config file?

Its in the modules/Site_Messenger/ directory
But ignore that it won't help the () aren't html chars.
The module really needs to be rewritten or at least updated.
