This is so affective it stops all my members coming on the site lol

I've had to turn it off, is there a way round it, can we allow some and not others and if so how and which file do we alter please.

Thankyou

(another headache for Raven lol )

Are you using Bob's enhanced version, or the original one which came with Sentinalâ„¢?

ermm pass lol

I used the original that came with Sentinel RC5 then uploaded the new RC5a files.

when I checked the code that Bob put here in the forum with the code in RC5a it looked identical and assumed it had been changed in the RC5a files.

The proxy blocker will stop AOL users being able to access the site. I tried it out until I got a flood of WTF emails. Laughing

I use AOHell but it didnt block me, prolly cos I'm the Admin.

It blocked a guy at home in Washington, he's on T2 or something, so he must have a static IP I'd have thought, but it didnt block him when he got to work and used the works computers on a network.

And one guy in Northern Ireland who comes on the site at work, as he's the IT guy at a school, it blocked him.

The other people who couldnt get one use BT internet, and a mixture of other ISPs.

Not sure what the people in Australia use, but they couldnt access the site either, they got the same message.

And 2 members in Singapore couldnt get on either, I dont know how they get on the net.

Tis truly weird.

Well if it's causing you trouble like that, turn it off, and wait until all the bugs are scraped out. Smile

yea I turned it off the same day.

I guess more ISP's use proxy's than we thought. Here in the UK especially, because we dont all have always on internet connections, due to our pathetic telephone company. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ok,

How do you turn it off when even the admin is locked out... due to the ProxyBlocker enabled i was locked out Embarassed Bang Head

Embarassed I'am back in my admin but needed to renew the nsn sql to reset the ProxyBlocker and (stupid me) lost the blocked Ip's.
I can't use the ProxyBlocker so my gues is that the forum will be very bussy when a bigger group of newbies will use the ProxyBlocker. Cool

Thanks,

Fred Mr. Green

I got in ok with the proxyblocker on when I was logged in as admin, and I was using a proxy, lol.

I thought that was because I was Admin so it allowed my IP access. So dont know why it blocked you digibeet lol

I lost all my blocked IP's when I messed up the install for sentinel last time, it was my own fault not Sentinels.

Mines switched off now and staying off for the time being lol

I just think oh well if they come back Sentinel will block them again, but I was sorry to see the long list of blocked IP's gone, it looked kinda cool with 20 in the list. lol

Hi Muffin,

I have noticed that I was logged-in as user and admin, so maybe there is something that caused it.

Thanks,

Fred Mr. Green

thats happened to me a few times, been logged in as user and Admin at the same time.

maybe there's a little bug in nuke somewhere causes that, but I'm afraid I'm hopeless at coding so wouldnt know what to look for.

I've noticed when I've logged out sometimes and then gone back to the site to log in as Admin I'm showing as Guest, and have to log in as user then as admin then it clears itself.

It's either a bug in nuke or my Internet Exploder is manic

When I log in as admin I always show up as Guest..

and whem writing to my forum as admin it is as anonymous..

This is the same in IE as FireFox and the KDE's browser.

Yup same thing happens to me occasionally.

I wish I was clever enough to know how to fix it, but I'm afraid I just use other people's brains because mine must have shrivelled up and died years ago lol

I like Firefox it's nice isn't it. Not heard of KDE tho
