Hey,

I had blocked a couple attackers from like IPs...

62.113.89.20
62.183.52.153

so I just decided to block the whole range in my .htaccess for a while with a...

deny from 62.*.*.*

Everything seemed fine until today. I blocked a hit from...

62.183.14.74

How would he have gained access to my site having banned the whole IP range? Did I do something wrong?

Thanks a lot.

Peace!

Dan

In .htaccess, to block an entire IP like 62.*.*.*, you use this syntax
deny from 62

or to block 62.183.*.* you use
deny from 62.183
