Character Limitation - Custom Fields / Edit Users Module

I wanted to create drop down lists to include date of birth on the registration form, but have found there seems to be a character limitation as I couldn't add all of the years in the Default Value field. Is it possible to remove this limitation in a file somewhere so I can add all the years?

Also as I want to add these fields to the registration form, do I choose 'Need To Register' from the Status list, or just leave it as 'Active'?

I've resolved this now in phpmyadmin but I do have another question, in what file do I find the custom fields so that I can alter the display layout of them on the registration page?

Custom fields are stored in users_fields and users_field_values tables. Please back up your tables before making any modifications. I'm pretty sure there is an interaction between the tables and the PHP programs in the RNYA module and you probably need to change code too. It could get complicated.

What do you mean by altering the display layout?

You can change the sequence, though that might impact the data that you currently have in the custom fields (you might get around that with SQL / phpMyAdmin).
