I wanted to add a unique file type to be allowed to be added via the image upload to the server via FCKEDITOR. I am currently using RN 2.40.01 so whatever version FCKEDITOR that comes with Smile Is there a simple file I need to edit to add the filetype? Right now I am getting a pop up error reading: Invalid file. When I try and upload it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well I am trying to add .pdf as one of the types as I need an easy way for my admin to add the file to the server since he doesn't have a clue how to use a FTP client, just an easy way to add the file and link to it. There are no regular users on this site as it is for a buisness so I don't need to worry about conflicts with users using the pdf as an image.

You should be able to upload PDF's using the Insert/Edit link button in FCKEditor.

There we go, I was wondering how FCKEditor accessed the file/flash folders in the upload dir

This will work I suppose however I am using this as a solution to add files and link them via the Downloads module, I think I remember from my days way back of Nuke 6.9-7.0 of some kind of hack for the Downloads module to allow users/admins to upload to the server? The current Downloads module is a bit of a pain by having to directly link to the files on my own webserver, not to mention no edit link for the download but manually haveing to type in the DL ID... Thoughts? Are there any other alternatives or hacks?

I don't remember any of the upload hacks (except a module called uploads or something like that). But you can link to files uploaded via FCKeditor in your downloads module. You just need to know the path and file name.

I would like to see an easier way to upload topic images and other files for use with downloads, but haven't had time to work on that.

I just wish there was a way to link directly to the FCKEditor, instead of a popup via a different module since downloads doesn't have FCKEditor installed. I only have ADMINS on my site and no user content so a direct link to the html Server page would be awesome Smile Any help?

Doesn't NSN Gr Downloads support admin uploads?

Not sure if that's in Montego's plans, but previous versions did not.
