Need help with a 3rd party module

I upgraded to rn 2.20, everything is working except one module.
Who coded it does not maintain it anymore, and I was wondering if there is some gurus here that can help me because my php knowledge is close to zero.
The module was working fine on rn2.01, but there is no way to have it working on 2.10 and 2.20.
To be honest, I could switch to the newer version of the module, but that would screw up 1000 pages indexed in search engines.
You can understand it's a little bit frustrating.......
I can PM you the url for downloading the module, as well as an export of its database.

It's a module for cooking ingredients.
