First off this is something I have been aware of for quite a while but it never bothered me because I seldomly used polls outside of the forums.

But Nuke allows for anyone to vote more than 1 time on a poll/survey. I searched the forums here and found several threads talking about fixes for it, however they were all very dated.

What inspired me to create a new topic on this old issue is that in one of the reads Raven stated that this would be possibly fixed in another release and then gave the member some advice on how to fix it for now.

However I am using 2.20.01 and its still the same way it has always been with previous nuke versions I have used. So I was wondering if there is some new information on this topic or has this issue just been slated as "best left as is"?

Like I previously said...I never really cared about it before because of limited use of polls outside of the forums. However now that I am starting to use it more, a couple of my site members have "called me out" on the inaccuracy of the poll results. And based on that I guess I can just turn it off and let them just use the forums poll feature because that one only allows 1 vote per user per poll.

Thanks for any links to a fix or advice. Smile

Really you would have to add a bunch of code to track which user and what poll they voted on. phpNuke does a simple cookie test which is easily bypassed.

Path of least resistance = use the forums
Path of too much work for duplicate functionality = changing phpNuke Smile

From all of the reading I have done on this...I figured that would be the general consensus.

Just wanted to hear it from someone posting now and not from a year or two ago...which seemed to be most of all I found.

I appreciate your input.
