Could anyone please advice how i can disable the ability for users to be able to add a link within the web links module, so that only admin can add links.

It would be appreciated if someone could advise me as to how i may be able to do this please.

xx

Find the "l_config.php" file in the "web_links" folder under modules (in your server directory) and modify it to disallow user submitted links.

Code:
$allowlinksadd = 0;

$allowlinksmodify = 0;

Is there any module that can be used with raven nuke to add sentences without links, similar to the text link module, but without linking, so that i could add quotes or sentences about subjects, that it is a fully based categorized module so i could add many subjects.

It would be highly appreciated if you could direct me to something i could use of this nature.

Faq or content modules. The former is relatively light weight. The latter gives more categorization capability but has some features you might not want.

Generic content in most of our modules is added using the wysiwyg text editor which intrinsically allows for links. You can customize the allowablehtml to exclude links (I think) but that would affect you site wide. Probably you can customize what's allowable within a module but that involves hacking the code so you'd be on your own.

I understand what your saying, though it would take some time.

Isn't there any quotes module that could work with raven nuke at all?

There is this quotes module but no categories...
[ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

and it won't work right out of the box, needs some fixes that are discussed here: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

someone may have a fixed copy laying around, but I can't find one... Rolling Eyes
