Question about set up of downloads

Hi,
Please could someone give me their advice on how to set up a download. Basically I have an astrology disk that generates reports, and I would like to install it on my site for the reports to be downloaded instantly, a form would have to be completed on site with birth data to generate a report. Do I just upload all the files and expect the program to run as it does locally or would it be more complicated? I'd appreciate any input on this, as I've never done anything like this before.

Erm, yes it is a bit more difficult than that, in fact it probably won't work I'm afraid.

What format is astrology program in?

If she means the disk...then thats indeed impossible...
as you can not install such thing on your server,not anything that comes from a disk anyway.
if the disk generates ducuments then they can be download ...,the docs only have to be uploaded in the downloads...

but jakec already says...
we need to know more....

If your application is for Windows, and your web server is linux, it won't work.
If they are the same OS, and you have the proper account to execute commands, then you should be able to do it.
