Can't upload .htaccess file

Hi, I'm going to install RavenNuke 2.02.02 for a friend and just found out that the host don't allow files that start with a period. Would it be possible to rename the .htaccess files so they start with an underscore or should I look for another host?

.htaccess files are not required, however you would some of the features that it provides.

I would suggest getting another host
