Adding fields need help.

Ok I need the following

I need when a user signs up a required field that has a dropdown list of 4 options.
then I need another field for a 4 digit type in 4 digit number

I need the in the forums to have this info in the control panel as well and any cange goes both ways.

I think this will be the easy part:
also I need this into to appear just under their name in the forums before their raiting and avatar.

also I would like to remove the password box under the forums control panel as I'm pretty sure that changing it here would mean that the person would have different password for the forums and the site itself.

I would instead like to change it so that there is just a not and a like to the main profile page where they can chage it there.

can someone turn the light on for me here?

Hitwalker has pretty much nailed this one on the head for you but I'll elaborate a bit more in case you are wondering.

To make these changes you would need to make changes to the users table in Nuke and then change the your_account application to correspond. In addition you'd need to change the Forums applications to reflect these changes. These would require changing several screens (a.k.a. forms) and then reflecting the updates all the way thru the process. There could be several places where these updates are made and you'd have to track them all down and change them. Plus, Forums come from a source that's independent of Nuke (PHPBB) and then are modified to work within Nuke. So you'd need to make sure that any modifications are kept in synch with your changes.

And this doesn't even speak to maintaining your changes across Nuke versions. For instance, some of the folks on this Board are hard at work preparing a new version of Ravennuke. You could be sure that any changes you made would not be reflected in that new version so you'd need to reapply them if you upgraded.

well then that does sound a little impractical. what if I the fields in the main sigup form added their information to the end of the username? so basicly it would append like so username-xx-xx and that username would be written to the database and the acount in phpbb would be the same.

I would think that this would only require editing the your_account.php no?
