I'd like a Birthday Block that would reside at the bottom of the page (center) that will dispaly who's having a birthday in the next 7 days.

I'd also like a Calendar / Events Block or Module that my visitors can use to record events (like their birthdays, anniversaries, appointments, etc) ... the only thing I've found is stuff that's old!

Is anyone using such a block/module combo for RavenNuke76 2.02.02??? If so would you consider sharing? I'd prefer something simple where I don't have to create or mess with sql tables LOL

I've d/l about every block/module out there but I don't know which will work and I don't want to *experiment* on my currently well working site!

I would impliement this type of program into your nuke site. I do not know of any working birthday modules out there right now. There is a birthday mod for the forums but not a module

kguske was working on porting a calendar tool (pretty awesome he says), but he has been really busy of late on other things. Its on his list.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with jaded that most of what is out there is pretty old. I have heard of Kalendar and Nucalendar. You might search for those here to see what others are saying about them. Especially review the more recent posts on these.

PHP-Nuke is definitely in dire need of a really good calendar module! Hint.... Hint... Wink

indeed. I thought that you just wanted birthdays. I misread your post. My apologies for that.

I would search here for something. There are many great event loggers out there. You can incorporate most into nuke easily. Finding one that allows members to add their own is a little harder but there are plenty to pick from.

Thanks for the info, as I said, I've d/l about three bday block/modules but I have to admit, being such a novice some of them *scare me* with the *create new sql tables* and whatnot LOL ... I really don't have the drive to do all that's required to get most of them working and I'm afraid that if I mess with nuke tables I'll mess up the whole site in general ... I was hoping there was something currently out there for RN76 that was calenda, events (modules) and a birthday block : o/ I've done alot of searching too ... I'm pooped.

Jaded have you checked your PMs here? I haven't received a reply LOL hugzzz

I have gotten NuCalendar to work with 7.9. I fixed some bugs in it relating to HTML compliance. I am not happy with how it handles repeating events. I would like it to work like my Palm's calendar in that respect. But it works well enough for my site. It comes with several blocks which show upcoming events.

I've been toying with the idea of writing a calendar app for Nuke though...hmmm...
