I am given the following ;
These are To and From IP range numbers (DO NOT use wildcards).
IP From: . . .
IP To: . . .
Country:
And there is a drop down menu with the list of countries from A to Z with 01 and 02 (IANA and unallocated). But I do NOT see any option to Import Data. In the NS manual I note that the Import Data option is in the middle column of options below 'Database Maintenance', the latter being at the bottom of my First Column of options ( my ver. NS is 2.6.02). Hope this help.

I thought the import section was removed a version or two back?

From my more recent perusing of this forum and others ( they do suggest one read before asking... I take them at their word, faq's notwithstanding ) that would seem to be an explantion for my inability to locate the "IMPORT DATA". I am still seeking an answer to the ? I included in one of my post, i.e., if not 'Import Date' then how? It would seem that a straightforward delete of those files in the IP2 folder/dir., and an u/l replacement of the new ones would not work. Not sure but if not I wonder why?
Ah... time consumed . . .where the holy grail to sort out those ruddy quirks and burps.

It does seem that the IMPORT feature has been removed - just shows you how often I used it!
Not sure why this is no longer available but I think it is probably because the latest IP2C may become available as a seperate package for none RN users.

Given you wear a 'Site Admin' tag, and "...just shows you how often I used it! " I have to nudge my inquiry just a tad further. Can I assume that you keep you IP2C current by doing your own updating, or are you just fortunate enough not to have been confronted by those irksome, " Invalid IP msg's? Ergo, I'm wanting to garner a response from someone with some depth and span to their familiarity with NS, to comment on my 'if not Import Date' then how?

And I don't do windows, so at least neither of us has to worry about 'heights'.

I have no idea what was mentioned in this thread as i don't have the time, but you could always change this setting in rnconfig.php to true.

$bypassNukeSentinelInvalidIPCheck = false;

Eh... that was implemented some time ago and allowed me access to the site, wherein I was able to update / amend the IP2C sections and thus avoid the embarassing 'You are banned..." or words to similiar POOF!. What I am now attempting to discover is, Import Data being absent, is it possible to update your IP2C file with ... as stated in my post.

Make A Nice Day... they are not given as in
Have a Nice Day.

I'm sorry if my answer was not more forth coming. Unfortunately I have been away from this project for most of this year due to health issues and coming to terms with the loss of my parents - I hope that goes someway to explain why I did not have the immediate answer you were looking for.

I spent half a day trying to figure out what the potential problem might be by installing all the NS 2.5x versions before realising you may have posted in the wrong forum.

Before I go further, can you confirm which NS version you are using (this forum is for NS 2.5.x).
If you are using NS 2.5.x can you confirm you have the import in your *nuke root with the IP2C data files in it please.

According to NS I have the current version being 2.6.02. When I encountered this problem last week I attempted to find some possible solutions by doing a search at this site. If I've posted in the wrong forum, my apologies. The problem it seems occurred when my otherwise static (15 yrs or so) IP address was changed last week and that new IP was not in the current 2.6.02 IP2C data files. I did eventually access my site, update the data files and normality returned. That aside, I was still wanting to know if the IP2C data files could be updated manually as noted in an earlier post. Thank you and apologies for mixing up the versions / forums.

No problem, I just wanted to make sure which version we were talking about.
Having looked at my own production site, it doesn't seem that you can update the files manually.
You can add or edit specific ranges in the administration area as we now both know but there doesn't seem to be a facility to "mass" update everything.

I believe the NS project may be moving to a new home (here) but I will try and get you some accurate information as soon as possible and also what is planned for IP2C updates.

I can't remember, but does NukeSentinel(tm) possibly be looking for the directory where the data files are supposed to be stored before it will present the import function... sorry, don't know for certain.

Yes, the project is moving and really does need a fresh "start".
