I have a funny problem with the preview - well, actually it's not only the preview but also the actual posting of a story.

From time to time I get kicked back to the index page after clicking on preview or trying to post a story without previewing it.

I know that it will be difficult to respond to this post because I can't give you much insight into the problem. Here's what I know so far:

I use phpnuke/ravennuke as a fan fiction portal. So often users write their stories in MS Word and copy them into then editor to post the stories. Since a few weeks now people keep reporting that clicking on preview kicks them back to the index.php. The stories also don't get entered into the queue.

I had some of them send me their word docs and tried posting them myself - without succes. I tried pasting the text via the paste from word button and as plain text. I even pasted the text into Dreamweaver and then entered the source code generated by Dreamweaver as source code into the editor. Still no success. I also tried posting only small amounts of text - no luck.

Frankly, I'm at a loss here. I know the problem can't be caused by some fancy coding because the Dreamweaver-generated code consisted only of <i>- <u>- <b>- and <p>-tags.

Error reporting is turned on in the config file and no errors are given.

This only happens in 1 out of 50 cases, I think - it's not a permanent problem.

Has anybody ever experienced something like that? If I only had a clue what is causing this problem I could probably fix it...

BTW: I was using phpnuke with chatserv's pack and a fckeditor from phpnuker.de until last week. I wanted to switch to ravennuke for quite some time now and when i got the reports of problems with the editor i decided to do the switch last weekend. But the error remains... No idea, what exactly that means: either the problem is somewhere deep within the editor and using different version doesn't change things or the problem is deep within phpnuke or chatserv's pack...

Welcome.

If you're using the latest version of NukeSentinel, it's probably a very strict edit against certain words.

If they're pasting from Word, it's probably a check on the style tag. If you search the forums here, you should be able to find some guidance on how to get around that.

We've had several discussions about it - the problem isn't caused by nukeWYSIWYG, but it does highlight the problem.

I think there is an issue with pasting word docs - more information is available in this forum.

Also check that you're not using tags such as Javascript, and words such as Union
