I also think that the support you get in these forums is much better than any other CMS on the market.

Open mainfile.php and find function is_mod_admin (around line 498) and replace with the following code:

There have been changes to lots of files and therefore I would recommend copying over any edits you have made to the new files.

I agree with fkelly, if you can use CSS you should be able to edit Ravenice to suit your requirements.

BTW I've now moved this to RN 2.3 forum.

I believe when 2.4 was released the backend.php was replaced with a better system for providing feeds.

Therefore I would recommend upgrading if possible.
