Introduction

Linting tools help improve the code quality and optimize it for better performance. Linting tools have sets of defined rules to verify the code, without actually executing the code. Web designers often overlook the CSS code quality and unstructured coding style. As the product grows, this can create a real mess and usually results in a lot of difficulty finding and fixing the issues. You will find many articles with lists of CSS linting tools, but unfortunately most of the tools are no longer available. Hence, this post talks about the 4 best ACTIVE CSS linting tools which you can leverage to validate and optimize your CSS code. Enjoy!

CSS Grid Layout is the most powerful layout system available in CSS. It is a 2-dimensional system, meaning it can handle both columns and rows, unlike flexbox which is largely a 1-dimensional system. You work with Grid Layout by applying CSS rules both to a parent element (which becomes the Grid Container) and to that elements children (which become Grid Items).

The wonderful Linux Journal, published monthly since 1994, ceased publication this month.  The small organization is offering an entire digital archive for only $12.  This would make a great gift for anyone interested in Linux.

The archive normally sells for $25, so don't wait until the site goes down to take advantage of this great offer.

I have started creating the themes that will be packaged with Colorize-Raven when it is released. Go HERE to view the screenshots of the first one.  Colorize-Dark (simplicity).

On 26.09.2017 Mozilla released the official BETA for Firefox 57 Quantum. Firefox gots finally a multi-process architecture and a UI-redesign. The browser is roughly fast then all previous versions. If you like the Fox, then you should really try it out.

Greetings to all!  My health is doing better and I'm trying to get back in some kind of regular routine. I feel like I'm having to learn to walk all over again, but things are starting to fall into place, somewhat, LOL!  I have missed many of you and hope to catch up the best I can. Please let me hear from those of you that are still using RavenNuke (tm) to show you still want development.  I will basically support v2.51 the best I can while Neralex will be leading the charge in RavenCMS, at least that's the plan for now. I will open up a Forum topic also for your responses.

Bleeping Computer reports that executable files (.exe, .msi, etc.) were showing safe browsing errors in Google Chrome and Firefox for around 8 hours yesterday (25 January, 2017).

Although this only affected a small number of users, it would be pretty significant for the commercial and open source projects hosted there who use executable downloads.

Neither the Bleeping Computer article nor the GitHub blog explains what happened or how it was fixed. Since this had to be caused by something GitHub changed (and subsequently fixed) without requiring changes to the browser, explaining what happened would be helpful not only to impacted projects to assess how they handle downloads and their GitHub accounts in the future, but also others who might avoid similar issues. It would also help those considering hosting projects on GitHub decide how to proceed.

The increasing number of new registrations from temporary email accounts and free email accounts caused me to delete all of the accounts on my site and also close my site to new registrations.  Although my site is basically used for working on my new theming system, it would be nice to have those new features that you are describing in your post.  All of the RN sites that I visit have been closed down because let's face it, Nuke, in general, has died on the vine.  But, if RN could get added to the large list of software in Softaculous it might help bring it back.  I noticed PHP-Nuke is added.
