phpnuke attachmod 2.3.14 released - Or Stolen?
Bugs and Alerts
perfect-games writes "

Anyone looking for phpbb ports over to phpnuke? Even if never been ported our friendly staff will be there to help. We have a number of mods released this week and more to follow from knowedgebase, shockwave arcade, v3 arcade ported as nuke module etc. If there any ports you would like us to help you with, either forum or other cms ports, pop over www.portedmods.com and let us know. portedmods dev team

Note: From Mighty_Y: This gets me mad huh! He is just releasing the Attachment Mod v2.3.14 but he didn't even port it himself! I did the port and released it to http://support.code-area51.com. You can see he just took my package by reading the readme.txt included in the root of his package. He just made little changes to update my files to 2.3.14 but he forgot a zillion places which can definately mess up your site! Please stay away from this release and use the package I will release later today, one that is tested like it should!

I personally took a look at the files and have found Mighty_Y to be correct. Based on the events of the last many months I really don't think that PM can afford to make blunders like these, whether it be outright intentional or not. Extremely bad form......

If this were not like the 10th time that this guy has done this, it still wouldn't be funny.

I'm not sure which is more wrong, the fact that this person keeps stealing code and trying to take the credit for everyone else's hard work, or that he is considered part of the "Ported Mods Development Team" even while everyone knows about this shameful and inexcusable history that is well documented.

Sorry to see this happen to you too Mighty. I kind of wish it never happened to anyone. Welcome to my World and a not-too-exclusive club. We should have T-Shirts made...

Do you feel like someone just punched you in the stomach? Or do you feel (as I do) as if the punch was about a foot lower?

I can only hope that whoever is in charge at Ported Mods realizes what is going on and takes action (a "boot" immediately springs to mind), but I hope nobody minds if I don't hold my breath.

As for Raven not publishing his articles "until he gives an account of his actions", I can only say that's pretty generous of Raven. If it were up to me, his account would be disabled by now. Of course I'm still pretty steamed under the collar about my code getting ripped off, nevermind finding my credits removed and replaced with his. So keep in mind, I'm not exactly unbiased on this particular subject.

Steph
