Microsoft Unleashes Windows XP SP3 Release Candidate
By Kevin McLaughlin, CMP Channel
4:02 PM EST Wed. Dec. 19, 2007
Microsoft (NSDQ:MSFT) Tuesday unveiled the first release candidate for Windows XP service pack 3 (SP3), moving the long awaited final batch of tweaks and fixes for XP closer to reality.
Originally slated for release in 2006, XP SP3 has been pushed back on numerous occasions, and this marks the first time it has been available for public download.
Earlier this month, Microsoft launched the first release candiate for Windows Vista SP1. Microsoft plans to launch Windows XP SP3 sometime in the first half of next year, with Vista SP1 due in in the first quarter.
XP SP3 includes all of the fixes Microsoft has released since launching XP in 2001, as well as some minor new features that are part of Windows Vista. These include: support for Microsoft's Network Access Protection security technology; 'keyless activation', which lets IT administrators install SP3 without entering product keys for each copy; and detection of so-called 'black hole' network routers that can slow network performance.

With the release of version 2.0 I paved the way for the release of plug-ins. A plug-in is created when one of the files in the support folder is edited to add a new feature to the theme. It is then released by the designer and anyone wanting the new feature(s) can download it and drop it into the support folder replacing the file already there. Upon uploading the plug-in file you will be able to see the changes to your theme.
I will start releasing plug-ins from my site http://www.papamikecreations.net soon. Please download PMCCT, (it is free to members) and give it a test drive. I have built some simple and also some graphic intense themes with it and you can too.
Join me in supporting the great work being done by the Ravennuke (tm) team. Download your copy of the most secure Nuke out there!"

What is so special about these themes is that they were created using my theming utility that I have been advertising here, PMCCT will let you build an awesome theme in just a few minutes.
I still have to get the forums issue worked out and that is because of the new phpbb3 release which will be using styles instead of templates for the eye candy.

PMCCT V1.1a released
papamike writes "PMCCT 'Papa Mike Creations Customizable Theme' is getting better and better in terms of user friendliness and functionality. This update replaces all prior releases. A theme file with only 8 lines of code controls all of the external files which are tucked away in the support folder.
One file to work with, configuration.php. Controls every aspect of the theme. Look at www.papamikecreations.net and see the theme there which was created using PMCCT in just 5 minutes.
Works with Mozilla and IE. The tutorial can be accessed from my site and you can also download 2 themes made using PMCCT.
Version 1.1a was released after I stripped out the code in the theme.php file and moved everything into the support folder paving the way for the introduction of a new concept, theme plug-ins.
Questions can be answered through the forums.
As always anything I design is for Raven Nuke (tm) 7.6."
