Nicely Done Drakken
PHP-Nuke Themespapamike writes "Ahhh, someone finally broke free of the traditional Nuke theme and created something that fits today's web designs. Something that doesn't scream Nuke as soon as you enter the site. The new drakken theme is excellent. Gives me some incentive to follow suit as I am always exploring new ways in theme design."

Google releases open source tool for assessing website security vulnerabilities
Securitykguske writes "On July 2, 2008, Google released Ratproxy: a semi-automated, largely passive web application security audit tool, optimized for an accurate and sensitive detection, and automatic annotation, of potential problems and security-relevant design patterns based on the observation of existing, user-initiated traffic in complex web 2.0 environments.

ratproxy "detects and prioritizes broad classes of security problems, such as dynamic cross-site trust model considerations, script inclusion issues, content serving problems, insufficient XSRF and XSS defenses, and much more."

phpBB 3.0.2 released
PHPBBAnnouncement from the phpBB Development Team:

We are very pleased to announce the availability of the phpBB 3.0.2 package. This version has seen numerous stability fixes, performance tweaks and general bugs fixed. Additionally one minor security-related bug was fixed.

With this release, we also re-introduced the code changes tutorial. Due to the different codebase in phpBB3, these are a lot bigger and a lot more complicated than they ever were in phpBB2
- also the reason why we introduced the automatic update package and automatic updater in phpBB, which is able to handle modded boards too by merging differences. We do not recommend the use of the code changes tutorial
- those are meant for professional users and support teams to help assist users having problems while updating.

Please note that we urge you to update. The versions we currently support here are phpBB 2.0.23 and phpBB 3.0.2.

Important changes since 3.0.1:

Business theme for PHP-Nuke ver 8.0 w/PSD
PHP-Nuke Themesdrakken20 writes "I have available a new theme for PHP-Nuke ver 8.0.
It is 14.99 .

It is a business or corporate theme.

Complete with PSD file for you to edit and modify as you need.

Designs are added weekly for the most part...

Check it out at this link

The site is a work in progress as I am writing the frontend of the script and using the Digicommerce Admin for the administration. and still may have bugs.

Thanks for your time.
"

Note: From Raven: I had a chance to look at this theme and it appears to be very well done. If you haven't seen it yet you should take a look :)

PMC-Renewal Theme Released for RavenNuke (tm)
PHP-Nuke Themespapamike writes "PMC-Renewal is a premium quality theme which I am offering to members for FREE. I have tested it on all of the popular browsers with equal results all round. The name Renewal came from my renewed interest in old style theme design. I have designed CSS themes and see no difference at all in the CSS and table designs.

I probably have the only version of the DarkBlue theme in CSS and created it using just the theme.php file and a style sheet. So that one experience brought me back to the classic style.

You can get your copy of my newest theme at http://www.papamikecreations.net in the downloads area under Newest Themes. Also, look for more premium quality themes to come. And as always anything I create will always be free to members.
